I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. I specialize in ethics, moral psychology, and metaethics, with interests in social-political philosophy and history of ethics (especially Arabic thought). I’m also interested in explanation and contingency in ethics, putting me in conversation with epistemology, metaphysics, and the philosophies of action and history.

My advisors are Peter Railton, Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Buss, and Brian Weatherson. Webb Keane, an anthropologist of ethics, is my cognate member.

Starting August, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Notre Dame, with the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good and the philosophy department.
